Filling or Bioplasty - Non absorbable implants
They contain particles of non absorbable material suspended in absorbable gel. After absorption of the gel, the non absorbable particles are permanently retained in the skin, prolonging the duration of the result.
As they are made of synthetic, non absorbable material, these implants, although well tolerated in most cases, have higher risk of complications, such as extrusion, inflammation and infection, as compared to hyaluronic acid implants.
Many of these products consist of a polyacrylamide gel with polyvinylic microspheres.
